Cuvettes
When building your spectrometer, you will have to select a sample holder that we call here a cuvette. You can pick up any of the cuvette we propose or even build your own! Different cuvette will allow you to operate your spectrometer in different conditions (on liquids, solids, flows…).
At the moment we only propose one type of cuvette but other types will be added in the future.
Standard Cuvette
The standard cuvette allows you to study liquids samples in test tubes. It is the most straightforward way to test Raman samples of liquid in a lab. This is the default cuvette that we recommend when starting up with Raman experiments as many chemicals exist in their liquid form. The cuvette also works with salts provided that they have a large solubility in water.
Solid Cuvette
The solid cuvette allows to you study solids in their powder form. It requires a bit more tuning than the standard cuvette but it will dramatically increase your flexibility in terms of analysis. Typical volumes of only 0.035 ml or less are required for the analysis of one sample.
